Self Hypnosis:
The late Harry Arons developed the famous five breadth conditioning technique
for entering self hypnosis. Starting with the pre-sleep suggestion,
which is used for one week, the program advances to the time set
suggestion.
The time set
suggestion is a suggestion to program the brain for a time period of
not less than three minutes and not to exceed five minutes as that is
the time period found most effective for repeating self hypnotic
suggestions. After practicing the time set suggestion for a
week, then actual hypnotic suggestion are substituted for the time set
suggestion.
